Must have: Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant by Paula's Choice

I am so glad a family friend introduced me to Paula and her products, particularly this one.

Consistently clear skin that only really falters during that time of the month and under times of extreme stress? Largely thanks to this product.

Let's talk about it.

It is extremely rare for me to stick with a product, particularly one that I use to treat acne. Many products seem to work for a short amount of time and then my skin goes back to being spotty and inflamed. But this one has definitely stood the test of time. I think I'm on my fourth bottle of the stuff and I'm definitely not planning on changing any time soon.

So what is it? It's essentially a salycylic acid exfoliating treatment/toner. Salycylic acid is something your pimples should be very, very afraid of. It unclogs pores, meaning it reduces the likelihood of breakouts and improves skin cell renewal through exfoliation. It even helps in destroying the bacteria that causes blemishes as salycylic acid is antibacterial. This product is also packed with skin soothing ingredients and its liquid formula means it can penetrate into the skin easily.

It feels cooling and is gentle on the skin, although I do feel some slight stinging on any open breakouts I may have (but I love that so it's all good). When I use it, my skin feels and looks smoother and also looks healthier. I tend to use it every morning and night but sometimes at night I will use an AHA exfoliant like glycolic acid instead (more on that later).

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Methylpropanediol (slip agents/penetration enhancers), Butylene Glycol (slip agents/penetration enhancers), Salicylic Acid (beta hydroxy acid/exfoliant), Polysorbate 20 (solubilizing agent), Camellia Oleifera (Green Tea) Leaf Extract (anti-irritant/antioxidant), Sodium Hydroxide (pH balancer), Tetrasodium EDTA (chelating agent)
No fragrance, no colour. There is nothing in this product that doesn't need to be in this product.
I think anyone could use and should use this product, particularly those with blemish prone and oily skin.
You can purchase this product at Paula's Choice for $28. They often have sales on exfoliants though so keep a look out. At the moment, they also have a free trial size 2% BHA liquid exfoliant with any order over $50 and there's free shipping on everything!
At the very least you should go and check out the Paula's Choice website. She and her team have taught me an awful lot about skincare in a very short period of time.
So go get educated and come back with better skin!
